I've gone through considerable trouble, getting my own pictures back from flickr. Google and look and try this and try that. It does work. Eventually. You can copy the flickr pic to you pictures directory. BUT: Today I realized I don't have to do that. I can use 'em where they are. AND that does not penalize my use of space on my web host. CTRL-U pays for itself. Go to flickr and load your pic. Then ctrl-u shows you the voluminous html. INCLUDING THE URL. It's 80% down the page, starts with https://live.staticflickr.com ... ends with .jpg Copy that and paste it into your html !!! Go look at the html of my house / cat5_rj45_crimper page to see. (ctrl-u, remember)
